Specialty Vehicles and Transportation Equipment Manufacturers’ Association
The Specialty Vehicles and Transportation Equipment Manufacturers’ Association -- AMETVS – was founded in 2000, following the government’s intention to provide the land transportation equipment industry with a group aimed at developing this industry.
With over 335 members, the AMETVS is today’s reference where the Québec ground vehicles manufacturing industry is concerned. Its members come from various industries: automobile, rail transport, commercial and specialty vehicles, and leisure vehicles.
The members are original equipment manufacturers (OEM), sub-assembly manufacturers, suppliers of plastic, rubber, metal, light material, electronic and electric components as well as government and economic partners, research centres and other organizations.
The AMETVS continuously develops new markets and facilitates industrial networking by offering an array of activities such as productivity enhancement programs (PVA) and training programs.
Mission
The Specialty Vehicles and Transportation Equipment Manufacturers’ Association is a business network dedicated to improving the competitiveness of its members and increasing their benefits.
This mission is carried out through the following actions:
By bringing forward the interests of the industrial sector to all levels of governments, in a dynamic and efficient manner;
By providing members with relevant training programs, seminars and conferences;
By introducing members to e-commerce and providing support through a Web portal for the industry;
By keeping members informed on the valuable advantages of new technology and new technology management tools;
By promoting the products of its members through trade shows;
By combining the purchasing power of its members in order to obtain economic benefits.
